We had to incorporate a splash effect into a picture that also involved food. I chose to do one about milk and cookies but it was hard to get the splash on the milk right because the brushes were too transparent. Eventually I figured out that if I just repeatedly clicked the mouse the brush became more defined. I chose the cookie to be a Thin Mint because I am a girl scout and it happens to be cookie season again. Both of my midterms have more of a simplistic approach but I think thats what can really grab people's attention because they can read it quickly.

Midterm #1: Local Grocery Store
For the first part of our midterm we had to make a project for a local grocery store that included food. I chose to make an advertisement for Greenwood Grocery Store. I had to alter the scales' readings to make the slogan work. Then I put a drop shadow on the scales and was going to put some on the eggplants themselves but the big one still had the shadow on the parts that weren't touching the scale. I want to learn how to make the pictures all look like the same tones; like they belong in the same picture.

Surrealist Sport
This is my idea of a surrealist sport because it is illogical. Instead of using normal hockey sticks to play ice hockey, the ends of the sicks are brooms so they don't have nearly the amount of power or control as a regular stick. The puck as been replaced with a bowling ball so now the game will seed up because the ball will be going much faster. It was a simple project
Holiday Card for Soldiers #2
This is the second card that I made for the soldiers. I went around school grounds and took pictures of festive things. The top right picture is a holy bush and the bottom right picture is the front of a truck that had a wreath on it. The picture on the left is a picture of me jumping with excitement in anticipation of the holidays. I got the stencil of the snowflake from the internet and put it all together.
